Amazing. I’ve seen a similar thing done with mole “castles” but the scale of this is huge! Interesting how the commentators can’t help but project their own perspectives onto the ant colony, describing it as a “city state” etc with implications of government and hierarchy rather than the colony being an emergent property of individual behaviour according to a very simple set of rules. I like ants. We can learn a lot from them
