HOLISTIC, EVOLUTIONARY ASTROLOGY IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING EIGHT PRINCIPLES...

1. REINCARNATION.  Humans incarnate in a succession of lifetimes.
2. EVOLUTION.  The purpose of reincarnation is to evolve the immortal nature through states of increasing temperance and (re)union.
3. PERSPECTIVE.  The birth chart will reflect the evolutionary condition (i.e. perspective) of the immortal nature.
4. POTENTIAL.  The birth chart will reflect the evolutionary intention (i.e. potential) of the immortal nature.
5. HARMONIOUS ORCHESTRATION.  Circumstances are never random or pointless.
6. VARIANCE.  The humans of this planet have Free-Will.  They will interact both creatively and unpredictably with the energies of their birth chart, the various, unique Astrological energies themselves each being multidimensional.  This is why it is said that Astrology is - ultimately - application of the Law of Probability.
7. RESPONSIBILITY.  As beings of Free-Will through the power of choice we are each personally responsible for both our internal and external reality.
8. HOLISM.  The emphasis of interpretation is on the importance of the whole picture - the so-called "astro-portrait" - and the dynamic interdependence of each individual part.

Astrology is based upon both Time as well as Place of birth.  The planetary positions are calculated as a function of Time while the directional cross and the segmentation of the Houses are entirely dependant on Place.  Thus an Astrological Chart is created from a point of intersection between Time and Place.

When this ‘point of intersection' is an individual, we learn of the individual.  But the point can be anything.  If it's an event, we discover the ins and outs of the event.  If it's the moment a question is asked, we can often discern the answer.

Why does this work?  Regardless of how it is expounded on or modified, the core idea of Astrological Theory is that the celestial bodies are living organisms which energetically (or, more accurately, electromagnetically) influence one another even as they influence us.  Consider that it is readily apparent the evident conditions of a Time and Place influence the gamut of experience there.  Astrological Theory merely furthers this to suggest that nonapparent, unseen conditions likewise influence the gamut of experience, and these are observable through the precise calculations of our Science.
